What made you want to do the FABS course?

Kimberley: When my daughter was one, I became a single mother. It was a tough time—I felt like I was starting over, having lost everything.

But I knew I could only move forward. I received amazing support from a life coach, Clare, who helped me understand my strengths, core values, and what really mattered to me.

I realised I wanted a career helping older adults stay independent and social while enjoying fun, active routines. When I found Move it or Lose it, I knew it was where I belonged.

What do you love most about being an instructor?

Kimberley: I love creating fun routines to great music and meeting incredible people who’ve become wonderful friends. Hearing them say how much they enjoy the class and that it has positively impacted their daily lives is the best feeling. It’s so rewarding to help people have fun while staying fit. It’s the perfect working mum job.

What would you say to anyone thinking about doing the FABS course and becoming an instructor?

Kimberley: Do it! The course was fantastic, well-structured, and all timelines were clear.

I really enjoyed the two practical days and I met such lovely people. The support you get is amazing, and it feels like joining a community. We still cheer each other on and connect regularly through our instructor Facebook page.

This is hands down the best job I’ve ever had. I love the freedom of running my own business, and every day feels fresh and exciting. I actually feel a bit sad on the weekends when I don’t have any classes!
